Social Intelligence

Having a job as a teenager is not easy. For many people, it is hard to learn how to take orders from a higher authority. If someone has parents who don't give them chores and responsibilities then kids working might not want to do what they're told. Also as a teenager it might be hard to do your job if people who come to the business don't treat you with the same respect as older colleagues.
Social intelligence is knowing how to react to certain situations in a socially acceptable way. Like if someone gives you a gift you don't really like, you should not rebuke the gift and get mad, you should say thank you anyway and pretend you like it. Social Intelligence is important because if you don't know how to react to something, you could miss out on opportunities or cause problems for yourself. The better you are at talking to people the farther you can get in life and the better you will succeed. I thought it was interesting that social intelligence has a direct effect on our physical health. This surprised me because I thought it would be more of a mental thing, but it effects your body physically as well.
